Sleep Scotland –

Sleep Scotland is a charity promoting healthy sleep in children and young adults through education, sleep counselling and sleep awareness. We provide support and training to families and professionals and raise awareness of the importance of sleep. Our support line is for parents and carers of children and young adults with additional support needs. At the moment we only have funding to provide a support line to parents and carers based in the following areas:

Disibility Snowsport UK –

Disability Snowsport UK is a people-centred organisation with a unique sense of purpose: that anyone regardless of their disability can take part in and enjoy the thrill of snowsports. We have applied exceptional know-how and adaptability for over 30 years to enable those with a disability to experience the joy of skiing alongside the able-bodied. We provide exciting and life enhancing activities for individuals or groups who require adaptive equipment and/or special instruction and support. Local Groups offer the opportunity for recreational adaptive skiing.

Cerebral Visual Impairment Society

Cerebral Visual Impairment (commonly referred to as CVI) is a form of visual impairment caused by the brain not being able to process information from the eyes passing along the visual pathways in the brain. It is the most common cause of visual impairment in children in the developed world.   The CVI society have a website dedicated to the condition where parents can find advice on understanding how a child with CVI sees the world, useful contacts and links to the latest research studies.

Clear Vision

ClearVision is a UK postal lending library of mainstream children’s books with added braille.Their books all have braille (or Moon), print and pictures, making them suitable for visually-impaired and sighted children and adults to share. There are over 13,000 books in the collection, including tactile board books, simple stories for young children and stimulating books for newly fluent readers.
